Kerry Shook, President of Woodlands Seminary
Kerry Shook founded Woodlands Church with his wife Chris in 1993. Since then it has become a multi-site church with over 18,000 in average attendance every weekend. Kerry and Chris are co-authors of the New York Times best-sellers One Month to Live and Be the Message. Kerry and Chris have four children- Ryan, Josh, Megan, and Steven.
Kjell Axel Johanson, Dean of Woodlands Seminary
Kjell Axel received most of his training in France and the USA (Trinity, Deerfield and Wheaton Graduate School). He has worked in theological education and leadership in the Evangelical Free Church of Sweden, planted a contemporary church and was the senior pastor of Elimkyrkan (Elim Church) in Stolkholm. He is married to Vivi-Ann and they have two daughters. Kjell Axel is an avid fly fisher.
Lee Strobel, Teaching Pastor of Woodlands Church
Atheist-turned-Christian Lee Strobel is a New York Times best-selling author of more than twenty books, including The Case for Christ and The Case for Grace. He serves as Professor of Christian Thought at Houston Baptist University, and was educated at the Univerrsity of Missouri and Yale Law School. Lee joined Willow Creek Community Church in 1987 as a teaching pastor, and joined Saddleback Valley Community Church as a teaching pastor in 2000. In 2014, Lee joined the Woodlands Church staff as a teaching pastor. Lee and his wife Leslie have been married for 40 years and have two children.
Mark Miller: Associate Dean of Woodlands Seminary
Mark is one of the most dynamic and relevant communicators to young people today. He has been in ministry for over 16 years, and is passionate about developing young leaders to influence the world for Jesus. Mark coached soccer for eight years through a ministry called Sports Quest, and has been at Woodlands Church as the Executive Student Pastor for the past 8 years. Mark is married to Jenny, and they have three boys.
